Evidence-Based Medicine

The Evidence-Based Medicine Group (EBMG) in Xie´s lab, established in October 2010, is a professional research team worked on systematic review and meta-analysis of mood disorders in Chongqing medical university, Chongqing, China. The EBMG have established good collaboration relationships with many academic institutions in USA, UK, Australia, Italy, Netherlands, Canada, France, and Germany.
Currently, our work has published on a series high impact journals, such as The Lancet, World Psychiatry, and had a major impact on the management of patients with depression and anxiety. Our systematic reviews and meta-analyses have made contributions to optimizing antidepressant therapy, managing drug resistance, treating comorbidity, and psychotherapy in patients with depression. Results of these studies have helped establish the paradigm for the management of depression in children, adolescents and adults, and form the basis of current treatment guidelines.
Besides, we have built a database of randomized controlled trials of antidepressants for depressive disorder in children and adolescents. This database will be updated regularly and can be freely accessed through the following links.
