Neuroimaging

The neuroimaging group in Xie’s Lab focus on the use of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for neuroscience research. We have established a long term co-operation with Neurology and Psychiatry Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and Psychology College of Southwest University in Chongqing. We have full access to the MRI facilities belong to Southwest Uni.

We dedicate to answer questions in cognitive neuroscience. We have finished a research about creativity, and found asymmetric inhibitory on figural creativity thinking. As part of systematic research in Neuropsychotic Disorders, our current goal is to reveal the underlying neural mechanism of mood disorders with functional and diffusion tensor MRI. Furthermore, we are trying to make our research into translational medicine and applying to clinical practice. In future, we also plan to do some basic research on non-human primate.

Neuroimaging is a flourishing multi-disciplinary area. We have team members majored in Biology Engineer, Clinical Medicine and Radiology. It is welcome graduated students who have medicine/biology/psychology background to join our team.
