Neuropsychology

Neuropsychology is the branch of psychology that is concerned with the physiological bases of psychological processes. In order to understand how the human brain functions, one must first understand its structure and mechanics. Our team tries to do some primarily original, empirical research on the relation between brain and human cognitive, emotional, and behavioral function by using ERP and fMRI, and want to increase understanding of neuropsychological functions in both normal and disordered states (e.g., Depression). This work would improve the effectiveness, range, and depth of human clinical practice (Depression) in the areas of neuroimaging of human cognition and emotion, and neurobiological studies of non-human primates.
